Miriel is the youngest and regarded as the meekest among her sisters. Though most seem meek when compared to the Warrior Maids of Rivenloch. Appearances can be deceiving, and Miriel has more secrets than anyone at Rivenloch could even guess at.
Rand la Nuit has been charged with bringing the outlaw known as "The Shadow" to justice. The Shadow is regarded as being almost supernatural with his speed and stealth. Rand knows the Shadow's no more than a man, and a man can be caught.
The folk at Rivenloch seem reluctant to turn in their outlaw. After all he's harmless enough, cutting a few purses, but never seriously harming anyone. Knowing this, Rand travels to Rivenloch under false pretenses. He arrives as Rand of Morbroch, there to court the lovely Miriel whom he fell for at the recent tournament. He's surprised to find Miriel so willing to fall in with his ruse, but he's starting to suspect she has her own reasons for the deception.
With each passing day Miriel and Rand grow closer, but how long will it last before each of their deceptions is discovered?
This final installment in Sarah McKerrigan's Warrior Maids of Rivenloch trilogy is wonderful. I've adored reading about each of the sisters and I highly recommend reading all three. Buy From Amazon
