This is a very different book as compared to the light and lively Solomon vs. Lord series.
Lisa Fremont is rescued from being a teenage stripper into a lawyer by Max Wanaker, president of Atlantica Airlines. Many years later, an Atlantica flight crashes and Max calls on his favor to Lisa. He wants her to become a supreme court clerk and seduce the newly appointed Sam Truitt into voting for Atlantica in a lawsuit against the airline.
However the plot thickens as Lisa falls for Truitt, Max is not what he seems and the Japanese underworld is involved as a financer of Atlantica.
All in all, this is a good read, a first for me showing the inner workings of the supreme court. Review By Sidd |
