Callie's Redemption by Rebekah Kasey is a good read.  It is an inspirational/suspense set in South Florida in the 1990's.

Twenty-four-year old Callie MaCraw blames herself for the death of her eight-year-old nephew, Bobby Neddleton in a car crash late
one foggy night in Venice, California.
Devastated, and unable to cope, she leaves her home in Venice, and travels to North Florida, moving on to Central Florida, then Smiley finally settling in South Florida.  In a period of less than six-months, she goes from a non-drinker to a hard-core alcoholic.  She learns what life on the streets of South Florida is all about, but can she survive?
I found this novel enjoyable, and different.
