Sorry, I just posted this in a related forum. I've downloaded the plugin, and it seems to work great. The problem is, I can't figure out how to populate my bookshelf.

I've tried to search for a few of my books to add to the bookshelf with no results. When I enter http://www.ibookdb.net/isbn/yourISBN I do not get the correct book returned. For example, I'm searching for Noam Chomsky's 'Failed States' so I entered 'http://www.ibookdb.net/isbn/0-8050-8284-0' (I tried it w/ both 10 and 13 digit ISBNs) and it returned the book called "The Girl Who Played With Fire." I've tried a couple of other ISBNs with the same results.

Is this site dedicated only to fiction books?

You need to enter the ISBNs without dashes - http://www.ibookdb.net/isbn/0805082840 - and 13 digit ISBNs seem to work better with iBookDB for some reason.

Me again. I'm slowly making progress on this wordpress plugin. I can't seem to get my personal bookshelf to post on the blog, but other random books not from my shelf do post. I've typed in my username into the widget, I've set the columns/rows in the widget (they do post with correct column/rows). I've also gone to the widget page on Internet Book Database and punched in my request...I think this is the sticking point--on iBookDB it provides me with code when I hit submit, but I am not sure what/if I need to do anything with this code? Thanks for the help.

UI, from misencikjc's profile, I found her blog at http://www.global-praxis.com/ but I don't see a widget there.

misencikjc, can you put the widget on your blog and send an email to contact@ibookdb.net

I changed my username to yours on my blog and it worked and showed your books. Maybe there was some temporary glitch in the system but everything is now working normally.

Hi, I'm tying to bring the bookshelf widget in my blog's sidebar, but it doesn't show up even though I've installed, activated and placed the widget (in Appearance->Widgets). I created iBookDB account just now so is it taking time...?

If you just created your bookshelf, it might take a day or two to get your bookshelf to show up. From what I've learned so far, when you enter your books, they go to a temporary spot for a little bit. Then the books that are on iBookDB already get added to the permanent shelf and later after that the other ones get added.

However if your books are mostly non-english you should email contact@ibookdb.net because those seem to take very long.

Also can you post a link to your blog here so I can check that it is not something completely different.

sa12, I  just checked and many of your books should show up on your bookshelf on your blog in the next 15 minutes. I haven't checked all.
